Perron's Pond                                                            August 2013

Picture
Early morning in August on Perron's Pond.  Hasn't been a lot of sunshine or clear blue skies around this summer but this was one of those rare clear sky mornings. Picture was taken on the pond not far from the portage crossing to Coopers Lake.

Brandy Lake

Taken early on a late September morning just as the sunshine was starting to reach the western shoreline of Brandy Lake.

Perron's Pond Fall

Picture
Taken late September on Perron's Pond.  This pond actually did not exit before 1960. Beaver damming has since raised water levels in the area over six feet.

Cooper's Lake bulrushes

Picture
Coopers Lake is the last remaining long channel of the historic waterway. At the north end of the lake, held in place by a beaver dam at the south end,  the water is shallow enough to let the bulrushes to grow.
